Hitherto - Up to this point. Not really hard, and it does  actually get some 7 million hits on Google, but still, it just sounds so funny :D Hitherto. Try it, taste it..

Milieux- environment or setting. Doubtful if this is actually a real english word.. but the nerds obviously like it..

exacerbate- to increase the severity, bitterness, or violence of something. (found when my methodology book thought the subject was not confusing enough, but started talking about the feminist approach to qualitative research methods.. fun... )
